The Web Poetry Corner - Arnab De - Our Fate

Our Fate

by

Arnab De

"Please open the door,"
I had begged you.

Only light can
come after a visit in the pristine night;
I knew that, you knew that. We
made our way. Without asking
the name of our caller, we naively reached out.

Our feet lost color from the chill that slipped
under the door, and still we opened. A new world celebrated my
life as I watched you take the hand of your visitor.
You came willingly, never looking back.

Now, our body bathes in the cell of love.
Our souls imagine reality as reality beckons us!
This had never happened before,
Thank God you listened.
Thank life you opened the door.

Arnab, truly yours!!
