A glance of Bengali
by
Arnab De
Her face was innocently hung, in the Garden of Eden;
Where wild horses from Persia rested awhile,
Time ceased to fly, fantasies stopped;
As a young Bedouin’s eyes, found his moment.
The sun softens the dew; it’s below her eyes;
As a thousand wolves wait, for a drop of bliss
If feelings had wings, words or otherwise_
To grace the mystery in the dimple of the cheeks
Blues drape her, in the enchants of a saree,
Two hands of Venus, a marvelous bow of lips_
Two eyes that keep a watch with the bow of her lips
A ray of smile, a whisper of Bengali;
And thus we sketch, in romance, love and India..
A glance of Bengali, and Rituparna!
