The Barren Desert
by
Anne Strausser
Over the barren desert,
a rainbow shadow kisses the sky.
For a loyal seeker, gold's at the rainbows end.
Exploring the desert,
with such enduring but exhaustive stride.
A drop of water would be a friend.
But this conquest won't be discouraged merely
by witnessing everything parched and dry.
Even with evading exhaustion,
a valor could make it by.
For life's a desert,
Always take-up all endeavors,
Thirst for life.
Be nobel and kind a modern day goodguy.
