Humble Foot
by
Anne Strausser
Always remember to lend a helping hand.
Have you ever exsperienced a lasting impression.
Of someone homeless and on the street.
If it were possible to partake,
a mile in someone's shoes.
And accept if any of lifes chanceable defeat.
Or has vanity been the lining of your easy chair.
Why in a world of deprived values, certain people,
don't understand in the world of humanity
they should care.
Without a shread of compassion,
all integrity of our own humanity will retreat.
I guess humility is a bolder stone to be cast.
Towards the most humble of feet
