The Web Poetry Corner - Angela Darlene Bean - Who I Am

Who I Am

by

Angela Darlene Bean

You know_.
We all ask ourselves who we are
And I don’t think we will ever find the answer
Everyday we search and look to find the true answer_..
But we do not seek it
I hope you find out who you are.... I certainly don’t know who I am
I seek it but everyday is a neverending battle
A war I lost long time ago
It has taken me and it is time to give up
Everyday we try to search inside ourselves and find what we are looking for
But we don’t
Things change
Things have changed
I don’t know who I am
I couldn’t tell you
I haven’t found what I want out of life yet
I have lost the war,
Lost the battle,
Now I am going home__..
Going home to rest
Maybe there I will seek what I am looking for
But I doubt it
