The Web Poetry Corner - Angela Bean - Annie

Annie

by

Angela Bean

Annie was 12
Licing on the streets
thrown out when she was 10
mother died
father was a drunk
in and out of rehab
tryin' to find whatever she can
nothin' to eat
very poor
outta school
cos she has no home
and no money
and she ain't gonna have no
education
poor, no job
no life
poor Annie needed to be rescued
but she's gonna die
