The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - we will win

we will win

by

Alfy Andrews

From the moment we wake from our sleep
Till slumber to our eyelids creep
The tempter is fighting for mind's ground
If slackness in doing His Will be found
All vices in us he will try to trigger
To make us spiritually a crazy figure
Let us not yield to the roar of the sly lion
For as Christ's children we must march to Zion
Lord Jesus Christ can alone gain us victory
Our innumerable falls will be forgot as history
