The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - small things
small things
by
Alfy Andrews
Little joys and passing pleasures
like the quick but beautiful sunset
find their pace, for they are earthly treasures
Life is beautiful , I dare not fret
As the night must give way to clear sight
Earthly pleasures must fade into bright light
The sweets that ravished my taste buds
Gave sucrose molecules that floated in my blood
The raiments and garments made me happy and gay
And the smiles thrown at me, made my day
Small things made me happy, like the cruise
A game of soccer chased away the blues
Holidays and Icecreams, childhood was cool
Lord thanks for creating me in your footstool
Though Iam growing older, I shall not worry
For the little joys will my woe bury
When thine Hand covers me , Life is beautiful
Yes Lord ,small things make this life colorful
