The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - let it rain

let it rain

by

Alfy Andrews

when the clouds all assemble
Like the parts of a jigsaw puzzle
unsolved they lie scattered
Waiting to empty and then refill
The thunder makes the feeble tremble
creating sweet noise,leaves the soil battered.
Along with lightning comes a blessing
Water to lands and parched throats
Lord please send thine blessings as rain
let it fall on us,though we dont deserve
Jesus let thine blessings chase away the pain
Lord let them rain on us, let it rain.
