The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - lesson from the fall

lesson from the fall

by

Alfy Andrews

Amidst brightness and splendour
Where no darkness shall enter
The anointed cherub gracefully walked
Amidst the stones, arrayed in jewelry
Ah when the high minded thought crossed
The stage was set for some rivalry
That day his stupidity brightly shone
When he thought to claim his creator's throne.
This secret ambition, his mouth didnt tell
For his very thought,he found himself in hell
Pride led to the fall, Who can with my God compete?
Lucifer the chosen one himself faced defeat.
Let us all accept His authourity and obey
For Christ the Creator is the Truth, the Life, the Way.
