The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Time

Time

by

Alfy Andrews

Twenty four hours a day
is all the time i have today
even that was all yesterday
i play , i enjoy in every way
vainly i pursue pleasures
when i must be seeking the treasure
His will i must do or i die
no excuses even if i sigh and cry
Time is from the everlasting
given to all for the asking
Jesus teach me to redeem this source
for days are evil and remorse
