The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - The pain of a Pilgrim

The pain of a Pilgrim

by

Alfy Andrews

The deciever keeps on stealing
My desire to be completly yielding
Though my heart is willing
Lucifer by deciet and lying
Leads me to unreal day dreaming
Constantly a web is he weaving
The fire to obey is he extinguishing
through my weaknesses and failings
Like a kid who is often playing
Iam still under childish craving
Little pleasures keep on satisfying
But deep within, my heart is aching
Lord my soul like a new born is crying
Holy Spirit satisfy my inner craving
Discipline me , and always keep me abiding
Lord let thine heart near me, be binding
Lord attend to this pilgrim,Whose heart is paining.
