The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Scuba diver
Scuba diver
by
Alfy Andrews
Once a diver plunged into the depths
He wanted to study and explore
This desire sprouted step by step
His eyes wanted to see the ocean floor
The vast aqua left him spell bound
underneath was a new world found
As he swimmed like a fish beneath
He heard a gentle and friendly sound
Hi dear homosapien, the dolphin said
What motivated you to visit us?
The diver replied ,ive come not to kill
neither to catch nor destroy
But according to my captain's will
I dived in, so as to see you all
For though i live on terrestrial land
My passion's for the deep blue sea
thats why iam a scubadiver, cant you see
Lord Jesus ,though you are seated on high
yet Lord thine heart is always on earth
like the scuba diver who enters cold waters
Lord thou from heaven entered sinful earth
despising heavenly comfort thou didst strive
thank you Lord for thou didst dive, thou didst dive!
