The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Sands of the Sea

Sands of the Sea

by

Alfy Andrews

The breeze with its saline air kisses my hair
under the rising sun on the lithosphere
Like the warm embrace that eliminates fear
waves cuddle the shore with love and care
The sight is glorious , bright and fair
like a laser beam shot in the dark room
A bitter thought flashes across my mind
our iniquities are countless, they are more
Than all the grains of sand on any seashore
our sins so innumerable like grains of sea sands
The dear blemmishless lamb's life demands
Lord thou did not count our every trespass
You regarded not our sins, iniquities and flaws
our sins are as scarlet and countless as sands of sea
Lord Jesus thou met the demand,so we gladly thank thee
