The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Pain
Pain
by
Alfy Andrews
Just a little pin prick
Or an unintentional fall
Teacher's chastening with a stick
Or stumbling over a soccer ball
Just heard a few hurting words
Or saw a disheartening scene
The death of a visiting bird
or the suicide of a spoilt teen
Children begging daily bread
Or animals dying in captivity
Behind evil, people are lead
Or any colonial activity
These are the few pains in life
A pain which no man can endure
Was inflicted upon the one so pure
The pain He suffered on the cross
would all the above pains surpass
Lord Jesus thanks for accepting pain
By thy deeds Lord, the slayer was slain
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
He has got humility
