The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Lord Incline me

Lord Incline me

by

Alfy Andrews

Lord Honestly I want to know?
What if my passions start to flow
The inclination to rebel is there
I in my contempt say , I dont care
My heart constantly craves for pleasure
When it should be filled with the Spirit
Thine shed blood did wash all my stain
I behave as though all was in vain
Lord I dont know, why Iam not abiding
Iam unable to leave, Iam still clinging
To the relatively good and the bad
Lord my love to fine arts and music
Wean me from loving thee completely
Lord what to do, Iam so sick
Lord Incline me to listen and obey
For to love thee is the best way
Lord help me, Lord help me.........
