The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Least Resistance

Least Resistance

by

Alfy Andrews

Step by step I want to leap
Without sowing I want to reap
Love to see the morn sun in the west
Gazing upon a virgin I must not lust
Want to fall into diverse sins and yet
can I be on the shore without my feet wet
Want to enter heaven ,and not burn in hell
even when I play with fire so very well
This I know, from thy beautiful word Ive learnt
When I play with fire I will sure be burnt
Oh my soul's weak and this is my only wish
Lord help me learn from the stream water fish
To stem the tide with lots of persistance
And avoid the path of least resistance.
