The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - I learn from the Eagle
I learn from the Eagle
by
Alfy Andrews
Up above on the clear gray blue sky
There is a majestic eagle soaring high
She stirrs from slumber, and starts to fly
Crosses valleys as the days go by
Her nest she leaves, not in sorrow or pain
But she strives, for some prey to gain.
She flies so high , yet her eyes look below
Her focuss lies unchanged, as she glides
She in no doubt, is the master of the skies
But I see myself in the slough of despond
How can I stick onto the beggarly elements?
Oh I must like a sensible man respond
To the call of the saviour that's been sent
By the power of His shed blood, I will rise
Like the eagle I will soar in the skies
Liberated with power,I will fly non-stop
Yea by His Saving grace, I will rise
From depths of wickedness to the mountain top
NEXT?
Why don't you look at
