The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Heaven has called out our name
Heaven has called out our name
by
Alfy Andrews
Roses did fully bloom
Lilies did not wither and die
The odour filled the room
our sorrows vanished , they did fly
our heart was once torn
And our souls did stink
Now forever joy is born
Heaviness did now shrink
Blood from the innocent lamb did fall
On our sinful and wicked souls
Lucifer had to face defeat, and bear the gall
For Jesus's blood made us whole
Now the glitter and glamor of this terrestrial ball
Are of no meaning, for they are dust and dross
Let our weary souls always find relief in the cross
How can we search for identity and earthly fame?
When this world would hate all who bear His holy name
This shall be our joy , this shall be our fame
For Heaven has called out our name!
yea Heaven has called out our name!

Why don't you look at
So many like you
