The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Dissapointment
Dissapointment
by
Alfy Andrews
When the roses bloom in full
Hearts are cheerful and glad
Soon the petal shrinks and it's dull
The merry heart turns sad
Why should roses colorfully bloom?
And why should it wither and die?
Where did the fragrance go from the room?
And why some things in life make us cry?
Lord, you will be swift to wipe our tears
For better things may come to fill our years
Jesus, help us learn from every dissapointment
as lessons from thee to cherish
For negative answers to prayers are sent
as life's positives for us to nourish.
