The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - Christmas to the Core

Christmas to the Core

by

Alfy Andrews

Once in earth's history there came an stranger
He was a humble child born in a manger
much joy as salvation to all He would bring
now a little lower than angels yet a king
this child would trample our foe lucifer
and liberate the willing from the fetters
He was born to conquer our souls so He died
for all of our iniquities He was crucified
on the third day Jesus the Victor rose
the fiery battle once for all has come to close
joy to the world ,His blood shall cleanse earth
Hail all Hail king Jesus child of lowly birth
