The Web Poetry Corner - Alfy Andrews - An Young Ship

An Young Ship

by

Alfy Andrews

An young ship made ready for the high seas
Its hope only on Lord Jesus it believes
Onwards to higher port ,the world it must hate
Leaving only Lord Jesus Christ to Navigate
Young as it was , Prone to wander
On deep waters away and yonder
Sometimes behaving without any sense
Thwarted by the storms of adolescence
Plodding through the waters towards destination
Battling the cyclones of life's ocean
It was assaulted, beaten by tempting waves
Tossed to and fro for several days
The young ship even survived through the bermuda triangle
It also was assaulted by beelzebub's arrows from all angles
The reason simple , Give thanks a ton
It was due to Lord Jesus Christ the wise captain
The young ship all its way faced damage
But never no never complete wreckage
The young ship will soon become old
Yet it will not sink, for its anchor will hold.
