The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Tigress

Tigress

by

Alan C. Keimig

Fierce tiger stocks
The forest edge keen
Teeth and deep glossary
Of eyes define the
Fair forbidden breach
Of privilege see wild
And still the calm
Composure of this season's
Need to crave an hour
Of love from the tigress
And in the course of
Company she does allow
The time's blunt blade
Will cut a jagged wound
Which will not heal but
Her sharp teeth will
Easily slice away the
Flesh and reach the
Heart's love cavity
To save the breath
Which still is alive.
