The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Renewall

Renewall

by

Alan C. Keimig

They're knocking it all down
My dirty town, each cinder
Brick each cobble stone once
By one, block after block, roofs
Gables, east walls, west walls,
That old elms tree, the pine,
The picket fence, lattice lane
That house where you and I
The hills on one side, the
River on the other, the
Meadow in between.
