The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Practicing

Practicing

by

Alan C. Keimig

I practice you where I can
And where I cannot I
Do anyway in the silence
Of myself in space surrounding
Me madly in love as love
Can even be remarkable
As a living art in words
And grids and lines all colors
Of the earth and starry heaven
Sky light around the body falls
Like rain wet through and you
Fall after it coating me with
Dew I wear for days like substance
For my life in imagination's form
Consonants and vowels lofty language
For a dethroned king who's queen
Is but a smile in distant memory.
The bees are busy at the hive and
It fills with honey once again. The
Meadow blooms, spring's caught
On with them and you my earthly
Flower, how goes it well
Into your eyes I pray
As it does mine practicing.
