The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Memorial Left Someone

Memorial Left Someone

by

Alan C. Keimig

Down the road leading under
Bending trees where along the
Sides there are flower beds, clearing
At the end, a stone with plaque
Saying who and when and why
The name of someone loved once
Believed in it and what it was
About. The gardener knows the
Names of all the flowers growing,
What they need, when they bloom,
Color, texture, leaves, pulling out
The dead with sympathy. Knowing
More. Not telling all, something
About something nothing more
And even this is insignificant
Compared to all the purpose in
This garden borne by loving heart.
