The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Look Inside the Night

Look Inside the Night

by

Alan C. Keimig

I have come for you
In other than these
Dreams. I have made
The moon pale melon be,
Made the stars heaven
Jewels and dark part
Light with all the bright
And gotten gems. Oh
Look inside the night and find
A companion silent heart
Which cries the love aside
Abide the toil of this delight
And be its reign in happy
Plight to evidence your
Image I have drawn a
Thousand times your voice
A thousand sounds which
I have made in words
Harmony for your sweet
Benefit then grace the
Morning's fond awakening
And stand aside the dark
Composure night to be this
Fact if life which is.
Look inside and see the
Gilted edge you too give
In other than
These dreams
