How Will I

by

Alan C. Keimig

How will my lips know more of you
This way? How will my tongue become
Again your tongue and my heat the
Of you to remember well and give
More of me this way? How will I share
My inspiration when half of me is gone?
What will my joy with you do with itself
My lovely woman lover friend. See
how soft you have grown in my short
Tenure, see how beautiful you become.
How will I taste your flowers now, sense
Your scent, find the ripened fruit of your tree?
How will I know the salty sweetness of your sea
Or the tangy substance of your skin? How will
My arms hold me to myself without your interval
Between? How will I know me without you?
How will I love you except to love you still?
