The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Have I?

Have I?

by

Alan C. Keimig

When all is say what have I done?
Has the cosmos moved an inch because I am?
Has the world turned a better day?
Has your life been one new hour blessed?
Have I made one ounce of change by being here?
Have I one word which will stick and echo
Endlessly when I am gone?
If I have then give me one hour better
that I turned and one better day and
One inch of the heavens moved into
A better light that I might believe
Myself a better man doing best when all
Is finally said and by you satisfied by love.
