Art begins in the willingness
To try, to become a test beyond
The known history. Yes mountains
Will be mountains, sky will be
Sky, the pier, the boat, the ocean,
Waves, the light and dark as
Shadows lay just so will be so
And you a portion of the long ago
And now my transparent need
To discover you translate into
The objective form of pain and
Pleasure, a heart sickness and health
For one we love at least as we love
Ourselves. And it is art we turn
To too envelope the time a cocoon
Wrapped away in a dream
Which makes its way out into
The world we say we love but
Barely know but try to become.
