The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Certainty
Certainty
by
Alan C. Keimig
At my age I know the way
As certainly as my hand. I
Know it for exactly what it
Is and the rain in many
Forms as Eskimos know more
Than two-hundred names for snow
The rain has just as many ways
To fall, to slide off roofs,
To layer on the slopes to
Rush and turn and tumble,
To flood, to rip, to tear, to be
Silk and soft, to be wet
And wonderful, to come each
Year, each time with just
As much certainty as will age.
