The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Blocked Creation

Blocked Creation

by

Alan C. Keimig

The rejected words are colored bright
Heaping their lost memory into white
Wrinkled piles thrown carelessly in
The corner. Working to bring things
To pass, the paint builds up the
Sanctified surface like a skin
Bringing images to recognition,
Course canvas emerging to be born
Fashioning each day. Hands flow
Holy with its light into a covered
Vow of chance and change with
Great obligation to be a difference made
And dismissed whim and fancy
The words, the images, the paint
The paper piles.
