The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Birthday Hugs

Birthday Hugs

by

Alan C. Keimig

You didn't get your birthday
Hug. Not that you needed one
Or I suppose even really wanted
One still I thought it would
Be kind-of nice but mostly I
Suppose nice for me and yet
You didn't get your birthday
Hug even if it would be maybe
Kind of warm, kind of close
Kind of still, kind of curved
Into kind of comfortable kind
Of kind and kind of loving in
A hug especially on your birthday
Almost like a kind of party to believe.
