The Web Poetry Corner - Alan C. Keimig - Between Wonders

Between Wonders

by

Alan C. Keimig

This melancholy love turns the airways
Of each day looking for your voice
In the elusive pond of space in the brighter
Call of dawn as it slips to sky turning
Copper colored with its sounds, but only
Dead quiet comes in its blank despair reaching
For the phone who's blackish tone is emptiness
A drowning desperation for the hour to
Turn from beginning haze to the mushroom
Lighter blue and darker eyes to flood
The room your eyes jet wide open as
A lamp to light the sky its darker hue
Harmony in sudden blaze of crimson
Conjured from the trailing smile
I feel traveling between two wonders
Of the world your lips and mine
Your voice, my ear.
