The Web Poetry Corner - Adam Pfaff - What's In a Name?
What's In a Name?
by
Adam Pfaff
(Part One)
Ditto on the eyebrows, Markus. Let's
keep the rich rain going.
Something tells us this land's retched,
and the world is slowly knowing.
I'm with you on the nosehairs Peter, the
weather cleared up early.
Everything is smiling at you Anthony,
there is no need to be so surley.
Bethany takes the pistol skyward, slings into
the old southwest. Susan keeps her undercover,
and you all know the rest.
(Part Two)
Ditto on the earwax Janey,
let's keep it to the min,
no one likes a tattletale,
and that's a definite sin.
Pick up your toys, now, Alex,
and put them in the chest,
Adrian tells you, bullied stories,
but you know they are the best.
Robert took the guitar passion, Jimmy
sang with hallowed voice, and Melissa,
gave up on her choice.
Let's go down to the new world, Pauly, and
set it all on fire. It's come down to this
enrichly, it's all down to the wire.
Ditto on the ditch-dig, Markus, let's keep
the rich rain going. I stand out in it
soaking wetly, with my damaged pride
at last not showing.
