The Web Poetry Corner - Adam Pfaff - Barbie Doll (Come and Go)
Barbie Doll (Come and Go)
by
Adam Pfaff
Baby come, baby go, where she
stand I do not know.
Baby gone, baby back, what the heck,
I have lost track
No baby anymore, no more thoughts
of her.
I cannot see the horizon over the clouds,
blanketing the thoughts of her.
Play through fields of barley, get a warmy
feelin'. I doubt I'd know if she were one,
to re-set my aching heart a reelin'.
Baby come, baby go, just stay baby, I
can't lose you so.
Baby said, baby heard, I do not know,
what my babe inferred.
Tears came running, in a stream on down
my face. I have to hold myself together,
got to keep on pace.
Baby came, baby went, I ain't go no baby,
now I must relent.
All that love gone to baby, sweet oh baby,
baby, please come to me today.
