Why and Why Not
by
Adam Gosha
Wet, dry. Three out of
four's all right.
Donovan talks to me in gatherings.
Robert Johnson sings of
lemon juice. Enough chop
sticks now I'll
whittle a dream
I couldn't have once.

I've plagiarized someone
I completely love.
Her smile determines the fate
of my emotions. I heard
her name (except it really
wasn't her name, but it got me
writing again and I didn't
want to lie to my
friends holding hopefully a book
of poetry) and spilled my
coffee. Yeah, it hurts a
bit, but now it's better.
Smiley face was much like Bonzo's
symbol, made not of glass
but with it, the water.
Deux oeufs regardent
moi dans les advertisments.
The day is dark again. Don't
take that wrong, after all
it is past midnight.
Wow! Moby Grape in the
strangest places two allusions
in one if I say 8:05.
(If you're lost please read
on). If you're lost please
read on. First person, second
person, third person, again,
three out of four ain't
bad. The song is though (after
Moby Grape is done).

What should I taste? I
like, dig man. I'm sorry days. Figure
out the game show believe
me green stone.
Your strange sensations (ah
yes, a true sign of the times no
doubt)! Again I'm reminded
of Robert and his lemonade.
After all, I would be the
first to collect
insurance money from my death. I
could buy a couplet which
contains unity. Good job.
Good riddens.
It's true my spelling could use
a good pair of overalls. Hey,
a deep meaning. Pants is
revision.
