Ancient Arisen
by

Footsteps blind we run again,
racing to find the finest greenery.
We find ourselves diving beneath
think black dirt as warmth is stolen by
the rain dripping from your hair.
A stalk will have to do,
though fifteen feet and growing.
Hold a remarkable moment,
we finally see life reaching the sun,
like a warning signal, calling with
its yellow sharpness, out to the
rest of the world.
Families eat wonderfully.
Dirt and bakery. Green wax
dripping in tulip flames. Cool
coloured triad braiding the summer's
dance. We follow giant purple
dragonflies on the backs of
our marvelous turtles.
We travel through the
great oasis, never intending
to end.
