Terry Gilliam is by far the best and most under-appreciated director of our time. Even his box-office flops like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (Which were both good!!! The latter being one of my personal favorites) each had their own unique visionary style.

Time Bandits combines hysterical comedy with a fun adventure story. With a cast that includes Michael Palin, John Cleese, Sean Connery, Shelley Duvall and Katherine Helmond what more do you need to know?

A little boy's wardrobe contains a hole in the fabric of space and time. One night, a group of dwarves come in through the wardrobe seeking their fortune. As it turns out, they have a map of all these portals, which they "borrowed" from The Supreme Being. They take Kevin with them on their adventures through time, and end up in places like The Middle Ages and The Titanic. They also meet people like Robin Hood and Napoleon, as well as creatures like ogres and giants.

Classic lines and a great adventure, this movie is a real treat for fantasy-lovers of all ages.

The third of the four "Vacation" films, Christmas Vacation takes on a slightly different form...

The Griswolds are at it again, but this time in the "safety" of their own home. It's Christmas...what can go wrong? Well...a lot. Relatvies arguing, Eddie suddenly showing up, a chipmunk in the Christmas tree...it all adds up to plenty of laughs and quoteable lines.

Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo return for their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold, and keeping with the custom, entirely new actors play their children. The cast give solid performances, but nothing worth loosing sleep over.

I could NOT live without this movie. I don't know how many Christmas Eves I've stayed up watching this. Even after seeing it a million times, it never gets old. Hilarious antics you know by heart, still seem like your enjoying it for the first time.

A holiday classic, and a great comedy for any time of year, Christmas Vacation is one you don't want to miss.
