Mark Zuckerberg from Harvard becomes an Internet superstar and the rise to becoming the CEO of Facebook begins. The screenplay is written by Aaron Sorkin and he does a fantastic job. Dialogue is all witty, quick, and top notch. It's paced very well and puts a lot of content into its running time.
In order for this film to work, it needs to feel natural. Luckily, it couldn't have felt more so. Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield instantly caught my attention. Jesse Eisenberg gives a stunning performance as Mark Zuckerberg and shows he can take on much more serious roles than he's done in the past. Andrew Garfield is fantastic as the co-creator of Facebook. These two actors have a great connection on screen that packs quite the punch. Justin Timberlake is Sean Parker and surprisingly does a much better job than expected. He blends into the role well. Each actor in the film puts on phenomenal performances.
Keeping in mind that David Fincher is behind the camera, the audience should expect a very visual film. He holds up to all expectations and more. Fincher gives a great atmosphere and delivers with superb camera work throughout the entire film. It will make you wish all movies were filmed with Fincher's style.
The combination of director David Fincher and writer Aaron Sorkin works out tremendously well. This isn't just a story about a college student becoming a billionaire, but is about so much more. I expected this film to be good, but it surpasssed my expectations. The Social Network is extraordinary filmmaking.
