Recently, there have been a lot of direct-to-video sequels to wide released movies. This is always a bad sign and the fact that The Rock did not come back for a sequel, gives it an even worse sign. These movies should not exist.

The premise of this movie is that young Mathayus sees his dad die and years later wants to get revenge. I do not know how many times I have seen this same plot line. They start and end the exact same way every time and it has gotten stale. There is not one quality about the story that I liked.

Not even one cast member from the first returned for this cheap sequel. There is a brand new cast which seems to be brand new to the acting world as well. Every performance in this movie is terrible. They can't manage to get one line out of their mouths to not sound dumb. The voices of these actors are even hard to bare, let alone tolerate over an hour of them.

Every category so far is a fail, as is the visuals section. I saw a few strings around the screen and nothing looked real. The sets look like they were in a kindergarten play before they filmed this movie. The CGI effects are so bad that it will make everyone laugh who sees them.

The Scorpion King 2: Rise Of A Warrior is a dreadful film. The only thing that made me give it 1 star is that it is a bit entertaining. It is funny (not purposely) and just has some fun scenes. If you want to laugh and make fun of a movie with some friends, then this is the one to pick up. Otherwise, run away from this movie.

My Rating = One Star
