...could challenge The Lord of the Rings...

The war has broken out and parents are sending their children away from the chaos. Four young children find themselves in an old professor's mansion. One day, while playing a game of hide-and-go-seek, the youngest of the four children (Lucy) wanders into a wardrobe that contains an entire world. A world that is desperate for their saviors. Later, Lucy brings her two older brothers and sister into this world like no other.

The Chronicles of Narnia has always had a special place in my book collection. I adore the series and was praying that the film wouldn't disappoint. My prayers were most certainly answered. This film could challenge The Lord of the Rings as far as special effects go, although Narnia does lack a little bit of the charm while in the fight scenes. The story flows smoothly and it follows the book for the most part.

As a die hard Harry Potter fan it pains me to say that I liked this movie better than any of the first four attempts at bringing Harry to the big screen. It has flaws, but they are easily overlooked.

My Rating = Three and a Half Stars
