Teen Movie Critic - IV
All You Got
...leave it on the shelf...
MTV presented us with a movie full of R&B stars including: Ciara, Adrienne Bailon, Frankie J, Lil' Rob, and Play-n-Skillz. To our dismay, they excluded nearly everything else. Most of the movie was predictable, but there were a few scenes that rose above the rest. All You've Got illustrates the story of two crosstown volleyball squads (The Madonnas and The Phantoms) who are rivals off and on the court. Becca's (Ciara) school tragically burns down and forces her team to move into a "ghetto" school. Both teams learn that they must work together to win the championship, and each others' trust.
This movie follows in the footsteps of Bring it On with its intense drama, but at points it feels like the director was relying on star power alone. I don't think Benjamin Tabah even believed in them. After all , it did go straight to DVD. If you enjoy sports, or some of the "teeny" movies, then you may want to give it a shot. If not, leave it on the shelf and keep walking. It isn't the best, but it could be worse (*cough* Gridiron Gang).
