Of course, that prophecy has come true in spades. We can't get too cocky about that, since we had previously foretold...to our youngest son...that the 90's would fill that bill. Oh, well, nobody's perfect...

Since 9/11, the CEBBTOs in Washington have revealed the true imperial aims of U.S. foreign policy. This has created the most virulent anti-American feelings in memory throughout the entire world. The good news is that, like the 60's and VietNam, it has also planted the seeds for revolution. This time, however, the revolution will not be confined to the U.S. itself, but will embrace the entire human race.

Based upon fundamental values...peace, freedom, truth, justice, equality, tolerance, and...most importantly...democracy, this upheaval will soon sweep around the world via the Internet. Not the "democracy" of Bush and Rumsfeld, imposed on other peoples at the end of the barrel of a gun, but that of the recent recall and election of a new governor in California, or, even more recently, the Internet empowered democratic movement surrounding the presidential candidacy of Howard Dean. We are supporters of neither Dean nor Schwarzenegger. But, like others with their ears to the ground, we detect a powerful revolutionary earthquake gathering force behind these men, on the Net as well as all other media. We are also not detractors of President Bush, seeing him as nothing more than a continuation of the corruption and perversion that has infected U.S. politics since the end of WWII. We feel that the virulent hatred for this man and his administration is but the first temblor in the coming quake. It may or may not unseat him personally. But, so what? As many have pointed out, the differences among the many candidates is Tweedledee versus Tweedledum versus Tweedledumber. The outcome of the U.S. election could scarcely matter less in the grand scheme of things...as more than 50% of potential American voters express by simply not voting.

During the past year, we have abandoned this column because it was becoming increasingly difficult to say anything about the current political situation that hundreds of other bloggers and columnists had not already said. Instead we turned to long delayed personal endeavors. Willy has enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Computer Science in the University of Minnesota, hoping to finally fulfill an ambition begun in the 60's but derailed by the VietNam War. Gypsy has embarked upon a new career in photography, aiming to become the Gramma Moses of that art form. Still, we feel that it is time, once again, to put in our two cents about politics and philosophy as well.

We have also abandoned the Libertarian Party. The bozos who run this noble enterprise simply can not tell the difference between religion and politics. They will insist, to the bitter end, that THEY are the party of principle, while passing out toy guns in Harlem and carrying out other brain-dead stunts. This does not mean that we have lost our libertarian leanings. To us, a world without freedom is as grim as the world of Sauron and Mordor as depicted in the Lord of the Rings. We will continue to emphasize that liberty is crucial...perhaps the MOST crucial...element of a sane and democratic society. We will also continue to stress the importance of true popular democracy. We will never succumb to the fallacy that "The People" are a stupid and unruly mob. Compared to the historical ruin visited upon us by the self anointed elites of the world, the occasional chaotic nature of popular rule looks positively heavenly!

So, like Arnold...we're BACK!

We intend to publish a series of short essays concerning how and on what basis the coming revolution will be formed. We will, of course, voice our opinions on what SHOULD be done as well, fully aware of the fact that we are only two lonely voices in a chorus that is about to become a roar.
