The F12 Key Explained
The illustration above shows the board display after the F12 function has been invoked. Even if you do not have an F12 key on your keyboard, this function can be invoked by clicking on the F12 icon on the board. You can return to the puzzle that was in progress at any time by clicking on the F12 icon or hitting the F12 key a second time. If, instead, you wish to enter another puzzle...perhaps one that you copied from a newspaper or puzzle book...you can enter the nuimbers, one at a time, until you have enterd them all. At that point, you should hit the letter "S" on the keyboard to have the program attempt to solve the puzzle. If it succeeds, it will display a "Puzzle Solved" message You can then proceed to attempt to solve that puzzle in the usual way or you can return to the previous puzzle and finish it. If, by xome chance...usually meaning you have entered the numbers incorrectly...the puzzle is unsolvable, a "No Soution!!!" message will appear and you cshould check your entries. It may be useful to you to invoke some of the other functions as you enter the numbers of a new puzzle to see how entering numbers alters the possibilities for placement in the empty squares.
