This site is a support site for all those who feel that Ron Paul is not only be a good candidate for president of the United States of America, but that he can WIN! He is currently one of the second tier of candidates for the Republican nomination. Barring a miracle, the Gatekeepers of the Republican Party will block him from the nomination on the grounds that he can not win. But, this is America and the Republican...or Democrat...Parties are not the only alternative, although it sometimes feels that way. Dr. Paul is a favorite to win the nomination of the Libertarian Party and they will alpost certainly have his name on every ballot in the country come November 2008. In a three way race, Ron would only have to win 35% or so of the vote, a lot easier than 51%. That means that he would win ALL the electoral votes in any state in which he garnered a mere 35% of the vote. If you agree with this estimate, then this is the site for you
| FLASH: In a recent LibertarianLists.com survey, among the 501 self-identified members of the Libertarian Party, 76.4 percent chose Paul as their choice for LP presidential candidate, an increase of 4.2 percent from the previous survey. |
Ron is a Congressman from the state of Texas. He won his seat intiially running against the endorsed Republican candidate and has been re-elected ever since. He has consistently stood for freedom...basically keeping the government small and out of our bedrooms and boardrooms. He takes the contitution seriously on all levels and feels that both parties have gone far astray in the search for election at any cost. He opposed the war in Iraq from the get-go. He opposed the so-called Patriot Act. He combines a very liberal social policy...one might say a common sense approach to social policy...with a smaller and cheaper government policy...and a distinctly non-interventionist foreigh policy, all of which America desperately needs at this time in history.
